Hannah Mitchell is a doctoral student at Murray State University in the fields of English Literature and Pedagogy. A public school educator for sixteen years, she splits her research focus between the resurrection of forgotten voices, transformative stories, and the education of nontraditional students. Her poetry has been published with The Ignatian literary magazine, Wingless Dreamer, Another Chicago Magazine, and others. She has presented her research at the National College English Association Conference in Atlanta in March of 2024, the Pennsylvania CEA Conference in April of 2024, and has also presented at the Conference for Young Adult Literature at Kennesaw State University. She will also be returning to the CEA's National Conference in March of 2025 and works with their social media committee. In her spare time, Mrs. Mitchell sits on the board of a nonprofit and volunteers with the activist group Free Mom Hugs.Â
